About Monica

I’m Monica Brooks, a real estate professional who believes finding a home should feel as exciting and empowering as the investment itself. Born and raised in Baltimore, I’m a dreamer who has always been inspired by architecture, beautiful spaces, and the cultural heartbeat that makes a neighborhood feel like home.

I bought my first home in Owings Mills, MD, at 26. I couldn't believe my boldness. One thing I knew at that young age is I didn't want to rent so I bet on me. Having built several new construction homes from the ground up, even one in Dallas, my latest work is restoring my childhood home in Ednor Gardens–Lakeside, just blocks from the National Treasure, Morgan State University. This project connects me to my roots and reminds me why real estate is such a powerful way to honor where we come from while investing in where we’re going.

I’m community focused and passionate about guiding people at every stage of life. I love music, art, and mentoring young people, encouraging them to dream boldly and follow through. I believe singles deserve to feel empowered in the buying process, building equity and stability on their own terms. And I’m equally committed to helping elders transition into safe, comfortable spaces that support aging in place with dignity. Let's not forget our nation's Veterans.

As a federal government retiree, I spent 30 years impacting the quality of life for Veterans, their families and caregivers and now aim to help military personnel transition to living in our beautiful state.
